Quang Ngai expands general hospital
QUANG NGAI — Central Quang Ngai Province Department of Health yesterday began expansion of the Dang Thuy Tram General Hospital at an estimated cost of VND55 billion (US$2.86 million).
It will see the hospital's existing area of 14,000sq.m expanded by half, 100 beds added to the current 150, and more modern equipment installed.
The expansion will be complete next year. The hospital is named after a war martyr and medical doctor whose diary of events during the war caused a sensation when it was found a few years ago. It was built four years ago in Duc Pho District, her death place. -VNS
