Intercontinental Hotel opens in Ha Noi
HA NOI — The Intercontinental Ha Noi Westlake hotel yesterday held its official opening ceremony.
It was officiated by both Vietnamese PM Nguyeãn Tan Dung and Malaysian PM Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, and witnessed by the chairman of the Berjaya Corporation, Vincent Tan.
"We are thankful to the Government of Viet Nam and the Ha Noi Tourist Corporation for their confidence in the Berjaya Corporation," Tan said at the ceremony.
He added that the corporation was committed to excellence and would provide quality and value-added services for all their investments in the country.
Since its opening in 2008, the hotel has attained numerous international awards. It was the only hotel in Viet Nam listed in the Conde Nast Traveller's Hot List 2008. It has also been awarded "Best City Hotel" in TTG's Asia Travel Awards in 2008 and 2009.
The hotel, located on Ha Noi's West Lake, has 359 guest rooms, three restaurants and two bars.
